ଆଜି ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଖଡ଼ିଆଳ ତିଖାଲିଠାରେ ନିମ୍ନ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ର ଜଳସେଚନ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ (Tikhali Dam Lower Indra Irrigation Project) କୁ ସେ ଉଦ୍‍ଘାଟନ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ୧୭ଶହ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ବ୍ୟୟ ଅଟକଳରେ ନିର୍ମିତ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇଛି। ଏହାଦ୍ୱାରା ନୂଆପଡା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଖଡିଆଳ ବ୍ଲକର ୧୩ହଜାର ୪ଶହ ହେକ୍ଟର ଏବଂ ବଲାଙ୍ଗୀର (Balangiri) ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ୧୬ ହଜାର ୪ଶହ ହେକ୍ଟର ଜମି ଜଳସେଚିତ ହୋଇପାରିବ।

ସେହିପରି ୩୧୫ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ବ୍ୟୟରେ ୫ଟି ମେଗା ପାନୀୟଜଳ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ନିର୍ମିତ ହୋଇଛି। ଖଡିଆଳ ଏବଂ ବୋଡେନ୍‍ ବ୍ଲକରେ ୧୬୬ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କାରେ ୨୩ଟି ଗ୍ରାମରେ ୨୩ହଜାର ଘରକୁ ପାନୀୟ ଜଳ ପହଞ୍ଚିବାର ସୁବିଧା କରାଯାଇଛି। ନୂଆପଡା ବ୍ଲକରେ ୫୭ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କାରେ ୧୦ଟି ଗ୍ରାମ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ୭ହଜାର ପରିବାରକୁ ପାନୀୟଜଳ ବଣ୍ଟନ ହୋଇଛି। ଖଡ଼ିଆଳ ଓ ନୂଆପଡାଠାରେ ଦୁଇଟି ଇନ୍‍ଡୋର୍‍ ଷ୍ଟାଡିୟମ ଏବଂ ୩ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ବ୍ୟୟରେ ଏକ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ପାର୍କ ନିର୍ମାଣ ପାଇଁ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଘୋଷଣା କରିଛନ୍ତି।
